Turning corners

Metaphorically speaking.

Thats what todays lesson brought for me. A chance to realize that I can do more than I think, that things are not as difficult as I'm making them ... and that there is hope for me come medal test day.

The sheer fact that I could get through six routenes from start to finish, with out any major hiccups along the way,and feel confident about them ... prooves that if I put my mind to it, but relax and enjoy ...

Things work out well in the end.

Lessons in Liverpool ...

I now find myself faced with a dilemma ...

University in Liverpool ... (all being well) means giving up my dance class back at home.

Finding a new one ... that will do what I need ... cant be that hard right?

Time will tell, as I now find myself trawling through google ... hoping to find something.

If only I had chosen Sheffield.

Doing my bit

Ive just done my bit toward BENNETT DOMINATION 2010 ...

Bennett Domination 2010

As we all know an integral part of Strictly Come Dancing is our professional dancers ... However due to the premature exit of both Mr and Mrs Bennett in series seven, its time something was done!

In the past few series of the show they have been landed with the dancing 'duds' ... thus leading to a string of early departures, series seven giving us the most shocking result yet. Lilia out in week TWO! .... Darren, partnered with Lynda Bellingham, quickly followed suit.

This left the fans feeling redundant, their Strictly experience left with a Bennett sized hole that no one could fill.

The Pro dances became incresingly more exciting as we hoped to catch a glimpse of our favourite pairing ... awaiting those 30 seconds of magic as they took centre stage.

So its time something was done ...

Its time for BENNETT DOMINATION 2010!

Things are off to a good start, Lilia is reingning tour champion, putting her one glitterball up on Darren .... so its only fair that he gets a chance to settle the score.

We've got Latin Fever to come, sure to be a sell out and dazzle us all :)

Then Strictly ... lets make it a year for firsts ... lets have an all Bennett final, and a pro to do the double!

Lets make 2010 their year !

Steppin' out

The marvel that is Anton Du Beke, partnered with the wonderful Erin Boag hit Bristol Colsten Hall last week with their latest display of showstopping talent and entertainment.

I am of course talking about their new show Steppin' Out.

I was unable to attend the show myself (regrettably) but have been informed by others who were lucky enough to go that it was a fantastic show.

Anton, always the entertainer, kept the crowd engaged with his witty one liners and ad libbed jokes, whilst Erin dazzled the crowds with her beautiful array of elegant gowns. In between changes, West End star and singer Graham Bickly took to the stage, performing and entertaining the crowd with some American Jazz classics.

Accompanied by the Welsh orchestra, providing songs such as "moon river" and "Wonderful", the couple captivated audiences with quicksteps, waltzes tango's and more, magnificently displaying the elegance and grace of Ballroom Dance at its best.

My informants (well cousin but hey sounds good :) ) say that the show was a wonderful way to spend the evening, Anton was hilarious and quite the showman, whereas Erin was poised elegant and beautiful. The costumes were fantastic and the music really created a sense of magic and Hollywood to the show.
